Refunds and cancellation

What this covers

Listing a room and browsing are free. This page covers the optional paid extras sold on the home page: Lodger Agreement, Room Pricing Report, Tax Calculator and Host Checklist Bundle. They are sold by POLICYANDPLAY LTD (company no. 17253846), 7 Cosford Drive, Shortstown, Bedford MK42 0DQ, United Kingdom. We are not VAT registered, so no VAT is charged and the price shown is the total you pay.

Your 14-day right to cancel

If you are a consumer, you have 14 days from buying to cancel and get a full refund under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. To cancel, email hello@room-rent.co.uk with your name, the product and the email you paid with. You can say “I wish to cancel my order for [product]”. We refund to the original payment method within 14 days of hearing from you.

Digital downloads and instant access

These products are digital content supplied straight away. Before you pay, we ask you to tick a box saying: “I want access straight away. I understand I lose my 14-day right to cancel once the download or access starts.” Once you have ticked it and access or the download starts, the 14-day right to cancel ends. If you do not tick it, you cannot buy.

If something is wrong

Your statutory rights are not affected. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, digital content must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose. If a product is faulty or not as described, email us. We will repair or replace it, or if that is not possible, give you a price reduction or a refund.
